서울 영등포의 ㈜나무감정평가법인이 경북 울진‧강원 삼척 등 산불 피해지역을 위해 희망브리지 전국재해구호협회(회장 송필호)에 1천만원을 기부했다.
희망브리지는 ㈜나무감정평가법인이 이번 산불로 주택 소실 등 피해를 입은 이재민의 생계 지원과 지역회복 사업에 사용해달라며 1천만원을 맡겨왔다고 16일 밝혔다.
㈜나무감정평가법인 관계자는 “산불로 많은 주민이 삶의 터전을 잃게 된 것이 마음 아파 기부를 결정했다”고 말했다.
한편 ㈜나무감정평가법인은 5명의 감정평가사가 무료 상담, 기부 등을 통해 사회 공헌 활동을 이어오고 있다.
재난 구호모금 전문기관인 희망브리지 전국재해구호협회는 1961년 전국의 신문사와 방송사, 사회단체가 힘을 모아 설립한 순수 민간단체이자 국내 자연재해 피해 구호금을 지원할 수 있는 유일한 법정 구호단체다.
60년 동안 1조5천억 원의 성금과 6천만 점 넘는 구호물품을 지원했다. 특히 지난해 코로나19 극복 성금 1천8억 원을 모금해 3천7백만 점 가까운 물품을 방역 취약계층과 의료진, 치료시설 입소자 등에게 전달했다.
Namu Appraisal Corporation in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul donated 10 million won to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Pil-ho Song) for forest fire-affected areas such as Uljin, Gyeongbuk and Samcheok, Gangwon.
Hope Bridge announced on the 16th that Namu Appraisal Corporation had entrusted 10 million won to support the livelihood of victims of the wildfire, such as loss of houses, and to use it for local recovery projects.
An official from Namoo Appraisal Corporation said, "It is heartbreaking that many residents have lost their livelihoods due to forest fires, so we decided to donate."
Meanwhile, Namoo Appraisal Corporation has been conducting social contribution activities through free consultations and donations by five appraisers.
Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association, an organization specializing in disaster relief fundraising, is a purely private organization established in 1961 by newspapers, broadcasters, and social groups across the country, and is the only legal relief organization that can support relief funds from natural disasters in Korea.
Over the past 60 years, it has provided 1.5 trillion won in donations and more than 60 million relief items. In particular, last year, it raised 180 billion won to overcome COVID-19 and delivered close to 37 million items to vulnerable groups, medical staff, and residents of treatment facilities.
