군에 따르면 이번 상하수도 요금 감면은 지난 3월 6일 특별재난지역 선포에 따른 것으로 ‘재난 및 안전관리기본법’ 및 ‘울진군 수도급수조례’, ‘울진군 하수도사용조례’에 근거해 시행된다.
지원 대상은 울진읍, 북면, 죽변면 산불피해 지역 수용가 세대로 4월 고지분부터 6월 고지분까지 3개월간 상하수도 사용료의 50%를 감면할 계획이다.
군은 피해 지역에 안정적인 수돗물 공급이 이뤄질 수 있도록 해당 지역을 대상으로 한 지속적인 상수도 점검을 실시해 나갈 예정이다.
전찬걸 울진군수는 “이번 산불로 인해 피해를 입은 지역 주민들에게 조금이나마 도움이 되길 바란다”며 “하루 빨리 편안한 일상이 회복될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
