브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 이재명 더불어민주당 상임고문의 대선 이후 행보에 이목이 쏠리고 있다. 특히 6.1 지방선거를 앞둔 가운데 인천 계양을 또는 분당갑 보궐선거 등판해야 한다는 주문이 잇따르고 있다.
서울시장 후보로 나선 송영길 전 대표는 지난 2일 "지난 대선 때 1600만표 이상의 국민 마음을 얻었던 이재명 전 지사는 이번 보궐선거나 지방선거에서 민주당 승리를 위해 같이 참여해야 한다"고 했다. 송영길 전 대표는 "저는 원론적 말씀만 드릴수 밖에 없지만 이 고문이 어떤 식으로든 지방선거에 기여해야 한다고 본다"며 "선대위원장으로 참여할 수도 있고 아니면 직접 후보로 출마할 수도 있는 것이다. 그건 당이 판단해야 하는데, 그 지역 시민의 의사도 중요하다"고 했다.

민주당 전략공천관리위원장을 맡고 있는 이원욱 의원도 이날 MBC 라디오 '김종배의 시선집중'과의 인터뷰에서 "출마의사를 전해온 적은 없지만 분명한 것은 민주당에 이재명 만한 스타가 없다"며 선거 흥행을 위해 그의 복귀를 바라는 눈치다.
이원욱 의원은 인천 계양을 또는 경기 분당갑 차출을 검토 중이라고 했다. 그는 "당연히 그 지역에 (출마) 가능한 인물군으로는 검토하고 있다"며 "당이 전국 선거에 도움이 된다고 생각할 때는 차출도 고려하고 있다"고 했다.

민주당의 지방선거 공천 최종 확정 시기는 5월 10일 전후로 계획하고 있어, 이재명 상임고문의 등판은 조만간 확실해질 것으로 전망된다.
