브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= CJ는 중부지역에 발생한 집중호우로 피해를 입은 이재민들을 위해 구호성금 5억원을 기부한다고 12일 밝혔다.
성금은 전국재해구호협회를 통해 피해 지역으로 보내져 이재민 긴급 생계지원과 건물∙주택 피해 복구를 위해 사용될 예정이다.
앞서 11일에는 CJ제일제당이 피해 지역 주민들에게 필요한 가정간편식과 간식류 등의 긴급 구호물품 3600개를 전달하기도 했다.
CJ 관계자는 “이재민들의 생활 안정에 조금이나마 도움이 되기를 바라는 마음으로 기부를 결정했다”며 “빠른 피해 복구를 위해 다양한 지원을 해 나갈 것이다”고 말했다.
한편, CJ그룹은 지난 3월 동해안 산불 피해지역 복구를 위해 구호성금 5억원과 함께 식품 및 침구류 등을 지원하는 등 지속적인 재난 구호활동을 펼치고 있다.
