브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= 현대백화점그룹이 추석 명절을 앞두고 중소 협력사들의 결제대금을 조기 지급한다. 최근 금리 인상과 물가 상승으로 어려움을 겪고 있는 중소 협력사들의 자금 운영을 돕기 위해서다.
현대백화점그룹은 그룹 계열사와 거래하는 8800여 중소 협력사의 8월 결제대금 2200억원을 당초 지급일보다 최대 7일 앞당겨 지급한다고 밝혔다.
현대백화점그룹은 현대백화점·현대홈쇼핑·현대그린푸드·한섬·현대리바트·현대백화점면세점·현대L&C·현대렌탈케어 등 13개 계열사와 거래하는 중소 협력사의 결제대금 2200억원을 당초 지급일보다 앞당겨 추석 연휴 전인 다음달 6일에 지급한다. 이번에 혜택을 받게 되는 중소 협력사는 현대백화점과 거래하는 2000여 곳을 비롯해 모두 8800여 중소 협력업체다.
현대백화점그룹 관계자는 “추석 명절을 앞두고 직원 상여금 등 각종 비용 지출 증가로 자금 조달에 어려움을 겪을 것으로 예상되는 중소 협력사들을 위해 결제대금을 앞당겨 지급하기로 했다”며 “앞으로도 다양한 상생 제도를 통해 협력사들과 동반성장해 나갈 계획이다”고 말했다.
한편, 현대백화점은 이번 결제대금 조기 지급 외에도 거래중인 중소 협력사들의 자금 운영을 돕기 위해 2014년부터 무이자 대출 제도를 운영하고 있다.
올해 지급되는 금액은 60억원 규모로 올해 상반기 35억원을 지원했으며, 올 하반기에도 중소 협력사에게 25억원을 지원할 예정이다. 무이자 대출을 희망하는 협력사는 16일까지 현대백화점 동반상승담당 부서에 신청하면 되며, 9월 13일에 일괄 지급된다.
