브레이크뉴스 최애리 기자= CJ가 민족 최대의 명절 추석을 앞두고 중소 협력업체에 약 3천억원의 결제대금을 조기 지급한다.
5개 계열사가 3800여개의 협력업체를 대상으로 정상 지급일보다 평균 1개월 앞당겨 결제대금을 지급할 계획이다.
이에 따라 CJ제일제당 약 1700억원, CJ대한통운 약 700억원, CJ ENM(엔터부문+커머스부문) 325억원, CJ올리브네트웍스 165억원, CJ프레시웨이 100억원을 각각 선지급한다.
CJ그룹은 2015년부터 명절 성수기 중소 협력업체의 자금 부담 해소를 돕기 위해 결제 대금을 앞당겨 지급해오고 있다.
CJ 관계자는 “코로나19로 오랫동안 이어지는 경기 불황과 최근 금리인상 등으로 어려움을 겪는 중소 협력사들이 자금 부담을 조금이나마 해소하기 바란다”고 전했다.
한편, CJ는 최근 기록적인 폭우로 피해를 입은 이재민들을 위해 성금 5억원과 구호물품을 기부하는 등 지역사회 및 협력업체와의 상생을 위한 다양한 활동을 이어오고 있다.
