[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 시민들이 깨끗하고 쾌적한 분위기 속에서 즐거운 추석 명절을 보낼 수 있도록 ‘추석 연휴 쓰레기 특별관리 대책’을 수립해 추진한다고 6일 밝혔다.
시는 지난 8월 24일부터 9월 8일까지 일제 대청소와 함께 음식물 쓰레기 감량, 재활용품 분리배출 등을 홍보하고 불법투기 야간단속을 실시하고 있다.
연휴기간에는 쓰레기 적체를 방지하기 위해 시 종합상황실에 민원처리반을 운영하고 청소 대행업체와 연계해서 청소기동반을 편성·운영할 예정이다.
또 시는 명절 과대포장 제품에 대해서도 단속반을 편성해 지도 . 점검하고, 추석 연휴 중 추석 당일과 추석 뒷날은 모든 쓰레기를 수거하지 않는다고 전했다.
시는 연휴 후에는 읍면동 봉사단체와 함께 마무리 청소를 실시해 시민이 행복하고 깨끗한 진주 만들기에 최선을 다할 계획이다.
진주시 관계자는 “연휴기간 중 추석 당일인 10일, 추석 뒷날인 11일은 모든 쓰레기를 수거하지 않기 때문에 배출일을 꼭 지켜 줄 것”을 당부했다.
