한울본부는 산불피해 산림복구에 대한 군민들의 관심 제고 및 ESG 가치를 실현을 위해 지난 8월부터 한 달간 ‘푸른 숲 만들기 캠페인’을 통해 묘목 구입비를 모금했다.
한울본부 직원과 울진군민 총 240명이 참여하여 331만 4천 원 성금을 모았다. 이에 더해 지난 6월 진행한‘탄소중립 챌린지’ 목표 달성을 통해 1천만 원을 추가로 마련했다.
한울본부 직원을 대상으로 진행한 ‘탄소중립 챌린지’는 계단 이용하기, 다회용 컵 사용하기 등 친환경 미션을 수행하고 실천일기를 작성하여 점수를 적립하는 방식으로 진행했다. 직원들의 높은 관심과 참여 열기로 사전목표 점수인 20만 점을 조기 달성한 바 있다.
기부금은 산불 피해를 입은 울진군 북면 덕구리 일대 산양 서식지 생태복원에 사용될 예정이다.
박범수 본부장은 “앞으로도 한울본부는 울진 지역 산불피해 산립 복원에 기여하는 ESG 선도기업으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 다방면으로 노력하겠다”라고 밝혔다.
