[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원특례시는 교통약자의 이동 지원 차량인 창원시 특별교통수단의 네이밍을 공모한 결과, ‘누비콜’ 등 4건을 수상작으로 선정했다고 4일 밝혔다.
특별교통수단이란 이동에 심한 불편을 느끼는 교통약자의 이동을 지원하기 위해, 휠체어 탑승설비 등을 장착한 차량을 말한다. 시는 특별교통수단이라는 명칭이 일반인들에게 익숙하지 않아 누구나 부르기 쉽고 기억하기 쉬운 네이밍을 선정하기 위해, 지난 11월 14일부터 30일까지 공모를 진행했으며, 총 532건이 접수됐다.
시는 네이밍 선정을 위해 1차로 내부심사를 거쳐 후보작 10건을 선정했으며, 이어 지난 12월 9일부터 18일까지 실시한 시민 선호도 조사를 통해 최종 우수작으로 ‘누비콜’을 선정했다.
‘누비콜’은 창원시를 대표하는 누비자, 누비전에서 따온 ‘누비’와 특별교통수단을 뜻하는 ‘장애인콜택시’의 합성어로 창원 구석구석을 누빌 수 있도록 도와주는 차량이라는 의미를 담고 있다.
