[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 창원시특례시는 지역 농산물을 지속적으로 공급할 수 있는 공공먹거리 공급체계를 구축하고 관내 농가의 소득증진을 위해 추진하는 먹거리 통합지원센터 건립을 본격화하고 있다고 8일 밝혔다.
시는 먹거리 통합지원센터에 대해 8일 설계 공모를 시작으로, 실시 설계를 거쳐 내년 12월 준공을 목표로 건립에 속도를 내고 있다.
이와 동시에 창원시는 먹거리 통합지원센터 운영 위원회를 마련하고 공공 급식 농산물 기획 생산 출하회를 조직해 본격적인 운영체계를 구축할 계획이다.
총사업비 50억 원을 투입하는 먹거리 통합지원센터는 진북면 대평리에 부지면적 9,799㎡로 건축 규모는 최종 실시 설계 시 확정해 건립할 예정이다. 또한, 주요시설은 농산물 등의 소분·검수 저장·유통을 위한 선별장, 전처리장, 저온저장고 등으로 구성되어 있다.
