울진군, 성공적인 도민체육대회 준비에 총력

【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=울진군(군수 손병복)은 2023년 제61회 경북도민체육대회의 성공적인 개최를 위해 14일 군청 대회의실에서 ‘경북도민체육대회 제2차 준비상황보고회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

군에 따르면 이날 보고회에서는 도민체전 개·폐회식 공개행사, 숙박·교통 대책, 자원봉사자 모집 및 운영, 문화예술행사, 시가지 환경정비 등 추진상황 전반에 대한 구체적인 점검 및 문제점 개선방안 등을 토론했다.

현재 울진군은 숙박시설을 전수조사하여 선수단과 관광객의 숙소 확보를 위해 노력하고 있으며, 숙소의 과부족은 종목별 사전경기를 통해 해소하고 숙박업소 업주 및 종사자의 친절 교육 또한 시행할 예정이다.

도민체전 기간 동안 경기장 편의 제공, 교통안내 등 다양한 활동을 전개해나갈 자원봉사자도 2월 17일까지 모집 중이며 선발된 자원봉사자는 기본 소양 교육 및 직무교육 등을 거쳐 분야별 현장에 배치된다.

이번 도민체전 30개 종목 중 울진에서 진행하는 경기는 축구, 육상 등 24개 경기로 관내 31개 경기장에서 진행된다. 종합운동장 천연잔디 교체, 야외 화장실 개보수 등을 완료하였으며 현재 종합운동장 및 본부석 건물 개보수와 종합운동장 주변 환경정비 등 전면 리모델링 사업을 마무리 중이다.

또한 종합운동장 일대 주차 공간 부족으로 발생하는 군민 및 관람객 불편을 최소화하기 위해 울진종합운동장 주변에 임시주차장을 조성하고 있다. 현재 경기장 내 주차장을 포함하여 7개소를 확보하였고 추가 7개소를 확보할 계획이며, 임시주차장 조성은 2월 중 착공해 3월 중순 사업을 완료할 예정이다.
