[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시평거종합사회복지관(관장·안병용)은 21일 아이코리아 진주시지회(회장·조기선)가 추억의 우체통사업 발전을 위해 후원금 100만원을 전달했다고 밝혔다.
평거복지관 추억의 우체통사업은 바쁘게 살아가는 현대인에게 기다림의 여유를 느끼고, 옛 추억을 떠올리는 특별한 선물을 만들어주기 위해 기획됐다.
평거복지관에서 운영하는 추억의 우체통은 진양호 동물원·남강댐 노을공원과 진주시립남부어린이도서관·진주시립서부도서관에 설치돼있으며, 오는 3월 진주시립연암도서관과 진주익룡발자국전시관에도 추가로 설치될 예정이다.
아이코리아 조기선 회장은 “아날로그 감성을 살린 추억의 우체통은 바쁘게 살아가는 디지털 사회에 기다림의 의미를 되새길 수 있다”며“사라져 가는 손 편지를 쓰는 기회를 통해 색다른 경험과 추억을 제공할 것으로 기대한다”고 말했다.
한편 아이코리아는 유아교육 교원 전문연수기관으로 평소 지역 내 복지시설 후원, 재래시장 살리기 운동 등 진주지역의 복지발전을 힘쓰고 있는 단체다.
