[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 경남도가 도내 18개 시군을 대상으로 실시한 ‘2023년 지방세정 종합평가’에서 우수기관으로 선정됐다고 10일 밝혔다.
지방세정 종합평가는 경남도가 세무행정 전반을 평가해 18개 시군 간의 선의의 경쟁을 유도하고, 세수 확충과 세무공무원의 사기 진작을 위한 것으로 매년 실시되고 있다.
이번 평가는 지방세 부과 . 징수, 지방소득세 운영, 세무조사, 지방세 심사, 체납액 정리, 세외수입, 일반 세정운영 등 지방세 업무 전반에 대해 평가가 이뤄졌다.
진주시의 성과는 혁신도시 내 공공기관 이전과 신진주역세권 개발을 통한 대단지 아파트 건설 및 산업단지 조성 등으로 안정적인 세수 기반을 마련한 결과로 풀이되고 있다.
진주시 관계자는 “어려운 여건에서도 납세의무를 다한 시민들께 감사드린다”며“앞으로도 납세자 중심의 다양한 편의시책을 적극 추진해 안정적인 세원 확보에 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
