울진군, 해안 도시계획도로 조기 개설 나서

【브레이크뉴스 울진】이우근 기자=울진군(군수 손병복)은 도시계획도로 7개소, 총연장 4.3km에 총사업비 174억 원을 투자하여 개설을 추진한다고 22일 밝혔다.

군에 따르면 울진 도시계획도로(중로3-8호선)는 60억 원으로 창신빌라부터 공세항까지 1.2km를 개설할 계획이며, 현재 협소한 폭과 급구배의 종단선형으로 교통사고의 위험이 있어, 이용하는 차량 및 주민들의 안전을 위해서 개설이 시급한 주민숙원사업이다.

1차 공사는 울진국민체육센터 남문부터 공세교(국도 7호선)까지 0.58km 구간을 지난 6월 착공하였고, 잔여 0.62km 구간은 편입토지 협의 등이 완료되면, 2차 공사를 시행하여 울진읍과 공세항 해안마을을 기존 1차로에서 2차로 확장·포장할 계획이다.

죽변 도시계획도로(중로3-7호선)는 국비 70억 원을 투자하여 국립해양과학관부터 죽변 등대까지 1.7km를 개설하는 사업으로, 1차 공사는 국립해양과학관부터 후정해수욕장까지 0.68km 구간을 지난 7월 착공하였으며, 2차 구간은 후정해수욕장부터 죽변 등대까지 1.02km로 토지보상 협의가 완료되면 시행한다.

해안도로가 연결되면 죽변 해안스카이레일, 후정해수욕장, 국립해양과학관 등 다양한 관광자원과 연계해울진의 관광 활성화에도 크게 이바지할 것으로 기대된다.

손병복 울진군수는“도시계획도로 조기 개설로 차량과 보행자의 통행에 안전과 편의를 제공하고, 공공복리 증진을 위한 교통인프라 구축으로 지역경제 활성화를 도모하겠다”라고 전했다.

Uljin-gun starts early opening of coastal city planning road

Uljin-gun (Governor Son Byeong-bok) announced on the 22nd that it would invest a total project cost of KRW 17.4 billion in seven urban planning roads with a total length of 4.3 km to promote the opening.

Jukbyeon City Planning Road (Jung-ro Lines 3-7) is a project to open a 1.7km road from the National Ocean Science Museum to the Jukbyeon Lighthouse by investing 7 billion won from the government. Construction began in July, and the second section is 1.02 km from Hujeong Beach to Jukbyeon Lighthouse, and it will be implemented when land compensation negotiations are completed.

When the coastal road is connected, it is expected to greatly contribute to promoting tourism in Hauljin by linking it with various tourism resources such as Jukbyeon Coastal Skyrail, Hujeong Beach, and the National Marine Science Museum.
