경기도의회(의장 염종현) 의정정책추진단(공동단장 정윤경·윤태길)이 10월 23일 안양과천교육지원청과 현장 정책 정담회를 개최해 안양지역 교육현안 14건 해결을 위해 심도 깊은 논의를 가졌다.
이날 안양지역 교육현안 정담회에는 정윤경(더불어민주당, 군포1)·윤태길(국민의힘, 하남1) 공동단장과 방성환(국민의힘, 성남5), 김옥순(더불어민주당, 비례) 의정정책추진단 위원, 문형근(더불어민주당, 안양3), 김성수(더불어민주당, 안양1), 유영일(국민의힘, 안양5), 김재훈(국민의힘, 안양4), 이채명(더불어민주당, 안양6) 의원이 안양과천교육지원청 고아영 교육장 및 관계공무원들과 함께 안양과천교육지원청에서 안양지역 교육 관련 정책과제에 대해 논의했다.
발언에 나선 경기도의회 문형근 의원은 학교시설 주민개방은 시대적 흐름이라며, 경기도의회·안양시와의 협치로 학교시설 개방에 따른 학교부담을 덜어주는 적극적 지원방안 마련을 주문했다.
김성수 의원은 “덕천초ㆍ중 통합학교 설립을 위한 부지 확보 검토로 초등학생의 적정 분산 재배치와 중학교 근거리 배정을 위해 노력해 줄 것”을 당부했다.
유영일 의원은 “주민의 생활체육 활성화를 위해 평촌학생 체육관 등 교육시설 개방이 활성화되어야 하며, 다양한 의견을 수렴하고 이를 위해 함께 노력하겠다”고 말하였다.
김재훈 의원은 “돌봄을 이용하고자 하는 수요를 충족하고, 스포츠ㆍ예체능활동ㆍAI교육 등 교육과정 연계한 맞춤형 돌봄 정책에 힘써달라”고 말했다.

이채명 의원은 “동안구지역 초등학생 중학교 근거리 배정을 위해 교육지원청에서 적극적으로 노력해 달라”고 주문했다.
안양과천교육지원청 고아영 교육장은 “오늘 정담회를 통해 제안해 주신 여러 좋은 교육현안에 대해 공감하며, 면밀한 검토로 안양지역의 교육공동체가 함께 행복한 교육을 지원하도록 하겠다”고 말했다.
