브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= KCC글라스는 한국능률협회컨설팅(KMAC)이 주관하는 ‘2023 한국의경영대상’에서 ‘한국의 친환경경영 리더’ 기업으로 선정됐다고 밝혔다.
1988년 시작해 올해 36회째를 맞은 ‘한국의경영대상’은 기업의 경영 역량과 혁신 활동에 대한 종합적인 평가를 바탕으로 부문별 우수 기업을 선정해 수여하는 상이다.
KCC글라스는 △고단열 유리 △재활용 소재 필름 △스마트 글라스 등 친환경 제품 개발의 혁신성을 인정받아 이번에 선정됐다.
앞서 KCC글라스는 지난해 세계 최고 수준의 단열 성능을 보유한 건축용 더블로이유리 제품인 ‘컬리넌(CULLINAN)’ 시리즈 ‘MZT152’를 출시한 데 이어, 올해에는 ‘재활용 페트’(R-PET) 소재 적용으로 ‘글로벌 리사이클 인증 기준(GRS)’을 획득한 가구용 필름인 ‘비센티 퍼니처’를 리뉴얼해 선보인 바 있다. 전기신호로 햇빛 투과율을 조절해 냉·난방 효율을 높일 수 있는 스마트 글라스도 현재 개발 중이다.
KCC글라스는 이번 수상을 기념해 감사 이벤트도 마련했다. 오는 12일까지 홈씨씨 인테리어 공식 인스타그램 채널에서 진행되는 퀴즈 이벤트에 참여하면 추첨을 통해 총 23명에게 경품을 제공한다. 이벤트와 관련한 자세한 사항은 홈씨씨 인테리어 공식 인스타그램 채널에서 확인할 수 있다.

한편, KCC글라스는 친환경 제품 개발 외에도 사회공헌활동을 확대하고 협력사와의 동반성장을 위해 노력하는 등 ESG 경영을 강화하고 있다. 이를 통해 올해 한국ESG기준원(KCGS)이 발표한 ESG 평가에서 통합 ‘A’ 등급을 획득하고 서스틴베스트의 ESG 성과평가에서도 최고 등급인 'AA' 등급을 획득하는 등 ESG 경영의 성과를 이어가고 있다.
