(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 부천시가 7일 ‘스마트경로당 운영을 통한 여가·돌봄·공동체 형성사업’이 과학기술정보통신부(이하 과기부) 스마트빌리지 우수사례로 선정되어 장관 표창을 받았다고 밝혔다.
부천시에 따르면, 과기부가 주최하고 한국지능정보사회진흥원(NIA)이 주관하는 ‘스마트빌리지 챔피언 페스타’는 스마트빌리지 참여 지자체의 우수한 서비스 발굴을 독려하고 성공사례를 신속히 확산하기 위해 서울역 LW컨벤션에서 올해 처음으로 개최됐다.
스마트빌리지는 디지털 기반의 혁신 서비스 적용을 통해 인구 감소, 고령화, 지역 격차 등 지역사회 문제를 해결하고 주민 복지와 생활 여건을 개선하기 위한 사업이다.
부천시는 전국 최초로 2021년 스마트경로당 45개소를 구축하고, 지난해부터 정보통신 기술(ICT) 화상 플랫폼을 이용해 여가·건강 등 다양한 비대면 프로그램을 운영하고 있다.
‘부천형 스마트경로당’은 전국 21개 지자체에서 벤치마킹을 다녀가는 등 스마트경로당의 표준모델로 자리 잡았다는 평가다.
또, 올해는 섬·산간 지역 3개군(봉화군, 진도군, 부안군) 9개소에 부천형 스마트경로당 프로그램을 공유해 지역경계를 넘어 양질의 노인여가복지 서비스를 어르신들에게 제공했다.
부천시는 앞으로도 스마트빌리지 사업에 꾸준히 참여해 스마트경로당 발전 및 확산에 주력하며 향후 105개소를 추가 설치해 기존 45개소와 더불어 150개소를 운영할 계획이다.
