KT는 지난 8일 이통사중 유일하게 갤럭시S23 FE 구독서비스를 출시했다. KT가 선보인 구독서비스는 월 2000원의 이용료를 24개월간 납부하면 출고가의 50%(42만3000원)가 유예된다.
24개월 후 반납을 하면 유예된 단말 잔여금을 보상해주는 방식이다. 합리적인 가격에 단말기를 구매하고자 하는 고객 중심으로 약 50% 정도가 이 구독 서비스를 선택했다. 일례로, 6만9000원 이상의 요금제로 공시지원금을 받고 구독서비스를 이용하면 실제로 단말 구매비는 없는 셈이다.
