‘의왕시 탄소중립 기본계획’ 용역 보고회 개최

의왕시는 지난 3월 5일 시청 소회의실에서 ‘탄소중립 지원센터 설립 및 운영활성화 방안’ 모색을 위한 연구용역 보고회를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이번 보고회에서는 의왕시 탄소중립 지원센터 비전을 정립하고, 설립 방향 및 기능과 역할 등 운영 활성화를 위한 방안을 제시하고 관계 공무원들의 의견을 공유했다.

시는 그동안 온실가스 감축과 기후위기에 대응하기 위해 ‘의왕시 탄소중립 기본계획’ 용역을 추진 해왔다.

의왕시는 향후 ‘탄소중립 지원센터’가 설립되면 ‘탄소중립 기본계획’ 이행점검 및 온실가스 인벤토리(기록목록) 구축 등 법정 필수업무와 함께 유관기관과의 자원 연계, 지역 역량 강화, 시민 실천 확산 등의 사업을 추진함으로써 의왕시 탄소중립·녹색성장 실현에 중추적인 역할을 수행할 것이라고 밝혔다.

보고회에서 의왕시 관계자는 “관계 공무원의 의견을 잘 반영해 우리 시에 맞는 센터설립과 운영계획을 수립해 탄소중립 지원센터의 좋은 모델이 될 수 있도록 노력해 달라”고 당부했다.
