경기도교육청이 교권 보호 시스템을 본격 가동한다.
경기도교육청(임태희 교육감)은 지난 3월 6일 정책 브리핑을 통해 경기교권보호지원센터 13개 확대, 학교교권보호위원회 지역교권보호위원회로 이관, 교원보호공제 사업 확대, 학교안전지킴이 확대, 경기 에듀-키퍼(Edu-Keeper) 법률 지원 시스템 등 교육활동 보호 강화 8대 정책을 발표, 선생님이 존경받고 학생이 존중받는 행복하고 안전한 학교를 만들겠다고 밝혔다.
최근 3년간 교육활동 침해행위는 2021년 539건, 2022년 799건, 2023년 1,248건, 교육활동 보호를 위한 법률·행정·심리 상담 건수는 2021년 1,424건, 2022년 4,393건, 2023년 9,761건으로 증가하고 있다.

경기도교육청은 교원들의 요구와 교권에 대한 사회적 관심에 대응하기 위해 교육활동 보호를 위해 △경기교권보호지원센터를 기존 6개 센터에서 13개 센터로 확대 운영, △학교교권보호위원회 지역교권보호위원회로 이관, △교권보호 핫라인 1600-8787, SOS! 경기교육법률지원단 강화, △실질적 교권 보호 및 지원, 적절한 피해 보상이 이뤄질 수 있도록 교원보호공제 보장 범위 확대, △교육활동 침해 피해 교원의 심리상담비 및 병.의원 치료비, 약제비 등을 1인당 연간 150만원 한도 지원, △기존 유·초·중·특수학교에서 고등학교까지 학교안전지킴이를 확대해 학교 외부인 출입 관리 강화, △정당한 교육활동 중 발생한 법적 분쟁 시 교직원 보호를 위한 ‘경기 에듀-키퍼(Edu-Keeper) 법률 지원 시스템’ 가동, △교육활동 보호 종합대책 추진단의 현장 안착 강화 등 8대 정책을 추진한다고 발혔다.
경기도교육청은 김송미 제2부교육감을 단장으로 추진단을 운영해 15개 부서가 긴밀히 협력, △경기교권보호지원센터 확대 △학교 방문 사전 예약 시스템 △녹음?녹화시설을 갖춘 민원 면담실 △특수교육 교육활동 보호를 위한 맞춤형 지원 △처음학교(유치원)부터 건강한 교육문화 조성 등 현장 목소리에 적극 대응하는 정책을 추진할 계획이다.
