【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=한국수력원자력(주) 월성원자력본부(본부장 김한성)는 지난 26일 경주 한수원 본사 일대에서 개최한 2024 한수원과 함께하는 경주 바람의 언덕 전국 힐클라임 대회가 성황리에 진행됐다고 28일 밝혔다.

경주시 자전거연맹(회장 정상희)이 주관하고 월성원자력본부의 후원으로 진행된 이번 대회는 600여명의 선수들이 참석했으며 선수들을 응원하기 위해 멀리서 함께 온 가족들의 응원으로 현장의 열기는 뜨거웠다.
김한성본부장은 황주호 사장을 대신한 환영인사로 “자전거는 우리의 두 다리를 동력으로 움직이며, 건강과 환경을 보급하는 친환경적인 이동수단이다. 한국수력원자력도 친환경에너지 기업으로 미래 세대에게 깨끗하고 맑은 자연을 물려주며 사회와 국가 발전에 이바지하기 위해 노력하겠다.” 며 참가선수들을 격려하였다. 또한 “20·30년 이 대회를 계속 후원할 수 있도록 원자력에 대하여 많은 성원을 바란다.”고 전했다.
이어 대회를 주관한 경주시자전거연맹 정상희 회장은 “경치 좋고 푸른숲으로 둘러싸인 유서깊은 토함산을 배경으로 무공해 청정고장인 문무대왕면 장항리에서 자전거를 사랑하는 분들과 함께 치러지는 이 대회는 우정을 나누면서 즐겁고 행복한 기억을 남길 것”이라며 “대회 성공을 위해 적극 지원해주신 월성원자력본부에 감사드린다.”고 말했다.
경기종목은 싸이클 15개부와 MTB 15개부, 총 30개의 종목으로 한수원 본사에서 기림사까지 왕복 약 16km의 퍼레이드를 거친 후 풍력발전소 주차장까지 총 7km의 언덕을 오르는 코스로 진행되었다. 맑은 공기와 푸른숲으로 둘러쌓인 토함산을 배경으로 선수들은 활기찬 라이딩을 즐겼다.
또한 행사 당일 월성본부에서는 대회 참가선수들과 가족들을 대상으로 '찾아가는 원·바·퀴', 'SNS 이벤트', '무료음료 푸드트럭 이벤트' 등 다양한 이벤트를 시행하였다.
특히 원자력바로알기 퀴즈를 맞추고 룰렛을 돌려 선물을 증정하는 홍보부스는 대회 전후로 많은 참가자들이 방문하여 인기를 끌었으며, 국내 전력량 수급체계에서 원자력발전의 안정성이 중요함을 알리는 역할을 했다. 또한 맞은편 부스에서는 월성2?3?4호기 계속운전 의향 설문조사에 참여하고 음료를 제공받으며 다함께 축제 분위기를 한껏 즐길수 있었다.
경기 종료 후 결과집계 동안 초청가수 공연 등 행사가 이어졌으며, 김한성 본부장의 종목별 시상을 끝으로 대회는 마무리되었다.
선수들은 “경북 구미에서 왔는데 화창한 날 경주에서 좋은 사이클대회를 참가하게 되어 기쁘다. 이번 대회를 계획해 준 경주시자전거연맹과 월성본부에 감사하다.”며, “경기코스가 알차고 라이딩하는 내내 아름다운 경치를 즐길 수 있었다. 앞으로도 한국수력원자력을 응원하겠다.” 라며 소감을 전했다.
한편 이번 대회는 16개 등급에서 수상자가 나왔고 사이클부분 최고기록자 남자4부(45세 이하) 1위 TAZA클럽 최주은(20분32초06), MTB부분 최고기록자 남자3부(40세 이하) 1위 와츠레이싱클럽 권기원(21분32초39) 등 이상 60명이 수상했다.

The competition consisted of 30 events, 15 cycling and 15 MTB, and consisted of a 16km round-trip parade from the KHNP headquarters to Girimsa Temple, followed by a 7km hill climb to the wind power plant parking lot. The athletes enjoyed a lively ride with clear air and Tohamsan Mountain surrounded by green forests in the background.
Additionally, on the day of the event, the Wolseong Headquarters held various events such as 『Visiting Won, Bar, Qui』, 『SNS Event』 and 『Free Drink Food Truck Event』 for the participating athletes and their families.
In particular, the promotional booth where gifts were given out by answering a nuclear power knowledge quiz and spinning a roulette was popular with many participants visiting before and after the competition, and played a role in raising awareness of the importance of the stability of nuclear power generation in the domestic power supply and demand system. Additionally, at the booth opposite, participants were able to participate in a survey on their intention to continue operating Wolseong Units 2, 3, and 4, receive drinks, and enjoy the festival atmosphere together.
After the end of the game, events such as performances by invited singers continued while the results were tallied, and the competition ended with awards for each event by Director Kim Han-seong.
The athletes said, “I came from Gumi, Gyeongbuk, and I am happy to participate in a great cycling competition in Gyeongju on a sunny day. “I am grateful to the Gyeongju Bicycle Federation and Wolseong Headquarters for planning this competition,” he said. “The race course was solid and I was able to enjoy the beautiful scenery throughout the ride. “I will continue to support Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power.” He expressed his thoughts.
Meanwhile, in this competition, there were winners in 16 classes, with TAZA Club Choi Joo-eun (20 minutes 32.06 seconds) ranked 1st in the men's 4th division (under 45 years old) in the cycling division, and 1st in the men's 3rd division (under 40 years old) in the MTB division. More than 60 people received awards, including Watts Racing Club’s Kwon Gi-won (21 minutes, 32.39 seconds).
