BIAF2024에 따르면, 조현아 작가의 동명의 네이버웹툰 원작으로 한 ‘연의 편지’는 따돌림을 당하던 친구를 돕다 집단 괴롭힘을 당해 시골로 전학을 오게 된 ‘소리’가 자신과 같은 자리에 앉았던 ‘호연’의 편지를 발견하게 되면서 벌어지는 이야기를 담고 있다.
