이날 캠페인은 추석 연휴 기간 발생할 수 있는 화재 시 행동 요령을 전파하고 인파 밀집, 풍수해 등 가을철 재난·안전 위험 요소에 대한 집중 신고 방법을 홍보하여 재난·안전사고를 예방하고 군민들의 안전의식을 강화하기 위해 마련됐다.
특히 추석 명절을 앞두고 전통시장 등 다중이용시설 및 주거시설 화재 발생이 높아짐에 따라 화재 예방 및 대처법에 대한 경각심을 갖게 하도록 △화재전파 및 초기 화재 진압 방법 △화재 신고 요령 △화재 대피요령 △화재 시 완강기 사용법 등을 중점적으로 안내했다.
거창군은 매월 1회 안전점검의 날 캠페인을 통해 계절별로 발생위험이 높은, 안전사고에 대해 군민들에게 홍보하고, 안전사고를 사전에 차단하는 안전문화를 조성하기 위해 적극 노력하고 있다.
