(브레이크뉴스인천 문광수 기자) 인천문화재단이 2024 글로벌 뮤직 투어 뉴트로 리듬(NEWTRO RHYTHM)이 오는 10월 12일부터 13일까지 양일간 송도 트라이보울에서 개최된다고 밝혔다.
재단에 따르면, 행사는 인천시가 주최하고 인천문화재단이 주관하는 ‘뉴트로 리듬(NEWTRO RHYTHM)’은 복고(Retro)를 새롭게 즐기는 뉴트로(Newtro) 트렌드에 맞춰 기획한 국제 공연예술 프로그램이다.
국내에서 쉽게 접근할 수 없는 다양한 장르의 다국적 아티스트 라인업을 발표해 반응이 뜨겁다.
화려한 행사의 막을 여는 1일 차에는 새로운 장르인 피싱 락, 캠핑 락 장르를 개척해 사랑받고 있는 5인조 밴드 ‘지소쿠리클럽(jisokuryClub)’, 인천의 차세대 펑크 밴드 ‘더 사운드(THE SOUND)’가 참여한다.
사이키델릭한 열정과 독창적인 음악으로 글로벌 ROCK씬에서 사랑받고 있는 말레이시아 얼터너티브 록 밴드 ‘미드나잇 퓨직(Midnight Fusic)’이 공연에 함께한다.
미드나잇 퓨직(Midnight Fusic)은 말레이시아 쿠알라룸푸르에 기반을 둔 밴드로, 국제 음악 페스티벌 무대를 점령하면서 셀프 타이틀 데뷔 앨범으로 700만 스트리밍을 돌파, 현지 음악 차트 1위 등 말레이시아 및 아시아에서 가장 트렌디한 아티스트로 꼽힌다.

신비로운 음악으로 큰 인기를 얻고 있는 대만의 드림 팝 얼터너티브 록 밴드 ‘아이민어스(I Mean Us)’ 역시 2일 차 출연을 확정 지어 꽉 찬 에너지와 무대 장악력으로 관객을 사로잡을 예정이다.
아이민어스(I Mean Us)는 2015년 대만에서 결성된 밴드로 현재 대만의 가장 아이코닉한 밴드이다.
2018년 데뷔 앨범을 발매한 후 첫 번째 단독공연을 단숨에 매진시켰고, 이후 SXSW(미국), 몬도·뉴욕 뮤직 페스티벌(미국), 베이비츠페스티벌(싱가포르) 등에 초청받아 전세계인들의 관심을 받고 있다.

재단에 따르면, 인천의 문화예술교육 현장에서 활동하는 예술교육자와 기획자를 대상으로 기획한 이번 프로그램은 문화예술교육의 가치를 나누고 깊이를 더할 두 개의 워크숍과 현장 탐방으로 구성되어 있다.
