용인특례시의회, 탄소중립 안산시 벤치마킹

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 용인특례시의회 의원연구단체 '탄소중립연구소Ⅱ'는 에너지전환 및 신재생에너지 사업의 우수사례 벤치마킹을 실시했다.

7일 안산시민햇빛발전협동조합에서 탄소중립과 에너지 저소비 도시 안산의 햇빛발전협동조합과 협력해 안산시에서 성공적으로 추진 중인 신재생에너지 모델을 학습하고, 탄소중립 실현을 위한 실질적인 정책 방안을 모색하는 것을 목표로 했다.

의원연구단체 '탄소중립연구소Ⅱ' 이윤미 대표와 신현녀, 윤원균, 박희정 의원 및 용인시 미래성장전략과 관계 공무원 등이 참여했다.

안산시민햇빛발전협동조합의 이창수 이사장이 직접 사업 설명을 진행하며, 태양광발전소 현장을 둘러봤다. 이 협동조합은 시민들이 출자해 태양광발전소를 설치하고, 공공기관 및 교육 시설에 지속 가능한 에너지를 제공하는 혁신적인 모델을 운영하고 있다.

이윤미 대표는 “이번 벤치마킹을 통해 용인특례시의회는 탄소중립과 에너지 전환 분야에서의 전문성을 제고하며, 시민들이 태양광에 대한 인식이 전환되고 참여할 수 있도록 적극적으로 홍보하고 관련 정책 개발과 역량이 강화될 수 있도록 노력할 것”이라고 말했다.

윤원균 의원은 “안산시의 성공 사례를 바탕으로 용인시의 지속 가능한 신재생에너지 모델을 구축해 향후 공공부문 에너지 전환과 탄소중립 목표 실현을 위한 구체적인 정책에 적용할 수 있도록 제고되었으면 한다”고 말했다.

의원연구단체 '탄소중립연구소Ⅱ'는 이윤미(대표), 유진선, 김진석, 신현녀, 윤원균, 이교우, 황미상, 박희정 의원으로 구성됐으며, 8월 말 연구용역 최종보고회를 열었다. 연구용역 결과를 바탕으로 연말까지 공공부문 신재생에너지 모델 발굴 및 제도구축 등 연구 활동을 지속할 예정이다.
