경기도에서 주관한 ‘2025년 화물자동차 공영차고지 재정지원’ 공모사업에 최종 선정되어, 갈산동 화물차 공영차고지 조성사업 도비 25.2억 원, 시비 86.8억 원의 사업비를 투입하여 210면 규모의 화물차 공영차고지를 조성한다. 26년 상반기 준공을 목표로 행정절차를 진행 중이다.

한편 이천시는 지난 7월 만성적인 골목길 주차난 해소를 위해 이용률이 저조했던 노외주차장 택시쉼터주차장과 서희주차장 2개소 425면에 대하여 요금을 인하하여 ‘공영주차장 홍보 캠페인’을 대대적으로 실시했다. 지역주민에게도 높은 호응을 얻어 주차요금 인하 조례 개정 이후 월정기권 이용이 83건 늘었으며 주차장 이용률도 증가하고 있어 더 적극적인 추진을 검토하고 있다.
