[브레이크뉴스경기남부=안산 이현준기자] 안산시의회는 풍도와 육도의 현안을 파악하기 위해 현장활동을 실시했다.
지난 8일 현장활동에는 박태순 의장과 최진호 의회운영위원장, 한명훈 기획행정위원장, 설호영 문화복지위원장, 박은정 도시환경위원장, 현옥순 의회운영부위원장, 김유숙 기획행정부위원장, 황은화 의원, 안산시 해양수산과 및 수도시설과 관계자 등이 참여했다.
의장단은 안산시가 풍도와 육도를 대상으로 펼치고 있는 사업들의 점검과 지역 주민들의 민원사항을 청취하는 것에 초점을 맞춰 현장을 다녀왔다.
단원구에 소속돼 있는 풍도와 육도는 각각 116명(79가구)과 42명(33가구)의 주민들이 거주하고 있는 섬으로, 현재 시는 이 지역 주민들의 편의를 위해 섬주민 여객선 운임지원 사업과 풍도 주차장 조성공사, 육도항 복합다기능 부잔교 설치 공사 등 다양한 지원 사업을 진행 중에 있다.
특히 최근에는 주민들의 원활한 식수 확보를 위해 해당 지역의 해수담수화시설 개선과 대형 관정 개발에 주력하고 있다.
이날 시의 다목적 어업지도선인 ‘안산바다호’로 풍도와 육도에 입도한 의장단은 주민들을 만나 민원 사항을 청취하는 한편, 시가 추진 중인 사업 현장을 방문해 시설 운영 현황과 개선점 등을 파악했다.
먼저 방문한 육도에서는 해안 도로 보수와 부잔교 설치, 해수담수화설비 운영 현황 등을 논의했으며, 이어 풍도에서는 관정 두 곳과 예비저수조, 해수담수화 설비 등을 잇달아 찾아 식수 공급 실태를 점검하고 향후 계획 등을 청취했다.
의장단은 이번 현장활동을 통해 해양도시 안산에 있어 풍도와 육도의 중요성을 인식하고 현장에서 주민 의견과 지역 현안을 확인하는 기회를 가졌다는 입장을 전했다.
의장단이 풍도와 육도를 방문한 것은 이번이 처음이라고 밝힌 박태순 의장은 “풍도와 육도가 있어 안산시가 넓은 바다를 가지고 있는 것이고 해양도시 안산에 있어 그만큼 중요한 지역이 두 곳”이라면서 “풍도와 육도에 대한 이해를 넓히는 소중한 기회였으며, 지역 현안 사업이 원활히 진행될 수 있도록 시와 지속적으로 협의해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
