[브레이크뉴스경기남부=화성 이현준기자] 화성시의회 도시건설위원회는 서해선 복선전철 향남역 건설 현장과 향남문화복합센터 건립 현장을 방문했다.
지난 10일 이계철 위원장을 비롯한 조오순 부위원장, 김영수·박진섭·오문섭·유재호 의원과 관계기관 및 관계부서 공무원 등이 함께 했으며, 향남 지역의 교통 및 문화 인프라 확충을 위한 주요 사업 현장을 직접 확인하고 사업 추진 과정에서 발생할 수 있는 문제점을 사전에 점검하여 해결 방안을 모색하기 위해 이뤄졌다.
서해선 복선전철 향남역은 서해안 축 남북 종단 간선 철도망을 구축하고 지역 간 연결성을강화하기 위한 핵심 교통시설로 현재 공사가 마무리 단계에 접어들었으며, 11월 2일 정식 개통을앞두고 있다. 서해선 복선전철은 총 90.1㎞ 구간으로 충남 홍성에서부터 당진,아산을 거쳐 관내에는 향남역(향남읍), 화성시청역(남양읍), 서화성남양역(새솔동) 등 28㎞ 구간에 3개의 역사가 개통될 예정이다.
이어 방문한 향남읍 하길리 오음공원 내 위치한 향남문화복합센터는 생활SOC사업으로 건립된 시설로 공공도서관 및 체육시설, 공동 육아 나눔터, 다 함께 돌봄센터 등이 들어서게 되며, 지역 주민들의 다양한 문화생활 향유를 위한 공간으로 향후 다양한 복합문화프로그램을 제공할 예정이다.
