[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 14일 시청 문화강좌실에서 ‘진주 전통문화체험관 조성사업’의 기본 및 실시설계 용역 중간보고회를 가졌다.
이날 중간보고회는 기본설계안을 바탕으로 예술성·창의성은 물론 실용성을 반영하기 위한 실시설계의 중간 과정으로서 용역 진행상황 보고와 질의답변 순으로 진행됐다.
전통문화체험관은 망진산 망경근린공원 내에 위치하고 있으며, 문화체육관광부에서 추진하고 있는 남부권 광역관광개발계획 사업의 일환으로 조성된다.
체험관은 천혜의 자연경관과 더불어 전통예술, 전통생활, 다양한 문화체험이 가능한 힐링 숙박시설로 조성해 특색있는 체류형 관광 핵심시설로 역할을 하게 된다.
시는 총사업비 159억원을 투입해 전통체험 숙박시설과 복합커뮤니티 공간, 다목적 문화체험실 등 연면적 1242㎡ 정도 규모의 체험관을 오는 2026년 상반기까지 준공할 예정이다.
조규일 진주시장은 “전통문화체험관은 멋과 힐링이 있는 시 대표 관광시설이 될 것이다”며“대한민국 대표 관광도시의 명성에 걸맞은 공공건축물이 될 수 있도록 최선을 다해 달라”고 당부했다.
