15일 시에 따르면, 환경부 산하 한국환경공단이 주관한 지난해 기술 진단을 완료한 102개의 전국 하수처리시설과 분뇨처리시설을 처리용량에 따라 4개 그룹으로 분류하고, 시설 유지관리를 위한 중장기계획 수립, 방류수 수질 준수, 운영 개선을 위한 기술개발 실적 등 16개 항목 평가 소식을 전했다.
성남시는 하수처리용량 2만t 이상의 그룹 평가에서 수정구 복정동에 있는 수질복원센터(하수처리시설)의 유리 관리 기술력을 인정받아 최고점을 받았다.
1992년 준공된 수질복원센터는 판교지역을 제외한 성남 전역의 생활하수를 하루에 46만t 규모로 처리하는 시설이다.
시는 24시간 상시 운영되는 펌프 등 기계 시설물과 전기계측 시스템을 수시 점검하고, 적시 교체했다. 이를 통해 해당 시설의 수명을 연장하고 하수처리의 효율을 높이고 있다.
