쿠팡의 물류 계열사 쿠팡풀필먼트서비스가 평촌 경영고 학생들을 초청했다. ‘진로직업 탐색’의 기회를 제공하기 위해서다.
쿠팡풀필먼트서비스(이하 CFS)는 지난 10월 31일 쿠팡 안성5센터에서 평촌경영고등학교 3학년 학생들을 대상으로 진로직업 탐색을 위한 풀필먼트센터(FC) 견학을 진행했다고 11월 5일 밝혔다.
쿠팡에 따르면 CFS가 고등학교 학생들을 사업장에 초청한 것은 이번이 처음이다. CFS는 특성화고등학교 학생들에게 쿠팡의 다양한 직업군을 소개하고, 첨단 자동화 물류 설비 체험과 진로직업 탐색의 기회를 제공하기 위해 이번 견학 프로그램을 마련했다.
평촌 경영고 학생들은 쿠팡 안성5센터에서 입고부터 출고까지 데이터를 기반으로 움직이는 스마트 물류 시스템을 둘러봤다. 특히, 학생들은 카운터 지게차, 리치 지게차, 오더피커 등 실제 쿠팡 FC에서 활용하는 전동 장비를 살펴보고 직접 체험하는 시간을 가졌다.
평촌 경영고 3학년 박찬석 군은 “책에서만 본 오더피커를 타볼 수 있어서 정말 좋았다”며 “이번에 지게차운전기능사 자격증을 따게 되면 졸업하고 쿠팡에서 꼭 일해보고 싶다”고 소감을 전했다.
CFS 정한모 정책팀 전무는 “내일의 꿈나무인 학생들이 쿠팡 FC에서 다양한 직업의 세계를 경험하는 기회가 되었길 바란다”며 “CFS는 앞으로 특성화고등학교와 유기적인 네트워크를 구축하여 고등학교 학생들의 진로직업 탐색과 취업에도 이바지하겠다”고 전했다.

Coupang's logistics affiliate Coupang Fulfillment Service (CFS) invited students from Pyeongchon Business High School to explore career opportunities.
Coupang Fulfillment Service (CFS) announced on November 5 that on October 31, it hosted a tour of the Fulfillment Center (FC) at Coupang Anseong 5 Center for third-year students from Pyeongchon Business High School to explore career paths.
This is the first time CFS has invited high school students to visit its business sites. CFS organized the program to introduce the students to Coupang's various career paths and provide them with the opportunity to experience the high-tech automated logistics facilities and explore career opportunities.
At Coupang's Anseong 5 Center, students from Pyeongchon Business School toured the smart logistics system that operates based on data from warehousing to shipping. In particular, they had the opportunity to see and experience the motorized equipment used by Coupang FC, including counter forklifts, reach forklifts, and order pickers.
“It was really nice to be able to ride an order picker that I had only seen in books,” said Park Chan-seok, a third-year student at Pyeongchon Business School. ”I would definitely like to work at Coupang after graduation if I get a forklift driver's license.”
“We hope that the students, who are the dreamers of tomorrow, had the opportunity to experience the world of various professions at Coupang FC,” said Jung Mo Jeong, Executive Director of CFS Policy Team. ”CFS will continue to build an organic network with specialized high schools to help high school students explore careers and find employment.”
