세종시의회 임채성 의장은 12일 의정실에서 몽골 자브항 아이막/솜 시민대표회의(의회) 대표단 10여 명을 접견했다.
이날 임 의장은 “몽골 자브항 아이막/솜 의회 대표단을 맞아 몽골과 세종시의 협력 방안에 대해 논의 했다.
자브항은 몽골 21개 행정구역 중 한 지역이며 아이막은 한국의 도道, 솜은 군郡 단위에 속한다.
환담 이후 몽골 자브항 대표단은 세종시의회 본회의장을 둘러보고 전자회의시스템 등 운영 방식에 대한 설명을 청취했다. 한편, 몽골 자브항 대표단은 세종시의회 공식 방문 이후 ▲세종시 집현동 자율주행빅데이터관제센터 ▲ 연서면 정동체험마을을 방문해 세종시의 사업과 문화를 체험하는 의미 있는 시간을 가졌다.
몽골 자브항 아이막/솜 시민대표회의 의회공무원으로 구성된 대표단은 이번 방문을 통해 세종시의 스마트도시 구축과 시의회 운영 상황 등을 살펴볼 것으로 알려졌다.
몽골 자브항 대표단은 ”효율적인 의회 운영 방안을 공유하고 양 기관의 우호 관계를 지속하기 위한 뜻깊은 자리였다. 이 자리를 계기로 향후 세종시의회 대표단을 초청하고 싶다“고 밝혔다.
