브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 현대자동차그룹이 오픈 이노베이션 플랫폼 ‘제로원’을 통해 우수한 역량을 가진 사외 스타트업을 발굴하는 ‘제로원 액셀러레이터(ZER01NE ACCELERATOR)’의 2025년 상반기 공개 모집을 17일 시작한다.
‘제로원 액셀러레이터’는 현대차그룹 내 현업팀이 직접 제안한 프로젝트를 기반으로 우수한 역량을 가진 스타트업을 발굴해 협업하고, 다양한 혁신 기술의 전략적 활용 가능성을 검증하는 오픈 이노베이션 플랫폼이다.
현업팀이 선발 과정에 직접 참여하며 최종 선발된 스타트업과 공동으로 프로젝트를 수행해 회사 간 경계를 넘어 신기술 개발에 대한 시너지를 창출한다.
이번 2025 제로원 액셀러레이터는 △모빌리티(Mobility) △지속가능성(Sustainability) △물류(Logistics) △배터리(Battery) △방산(Defense) △로보틱스(Robotics) 등 6개 주제 총 10건의 협업 프로젝트에서 스타트업을 모집한다.
최종 선발된 스타트업은 프로젝트 개발비를 지원받고 현대차그룹이 운용하는 제로원 펀드를 통한 지분 투자 검토 대상으로 선정된다.
참여를 희망하는 스타트업은 오는 3월 9일까지 ‘제로원 액셀러레이터’ 모집 안내 홈페이지(링크)를 통해 지원 가능하며 서류 전형, 인터뷰 심사 등을 거쳐 4월경 최종 결과가 발표된다.
한편, 2018년에 출범한 제로원 액셀러레이터에는 지금까지 현대차그룹 내 13개 그룹사, 170개의 현업팀이 참여했다. 스타트업은 총 193개사가 선정돼 143건의 협업 프로젝트가 진행됐으며, 그 중 104개사에 대한 지분투자가 이뤄졌다.
