[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 27일 시청에서 ‘2025 국가유산 미디어아트 진주성’ 사업의 성공적인 추진을 위해 권재현 축제전문 감독을 총감독으로 재 위촉했다고 밝혔다.
국가유산 미디어아트 사업은 미디어 기술을 국가유산에 적용해 그 가치를 널리 알리는 프로젝트로, 진주시는 올해 2년 연속 사업대상으로 선정됐다.
권재현 총감독은 관악 강감찬축제, 세계유산축전 수원화성 등 대형 축제를 성공적으로 이끈 축제 전문가로, 지난해 국가유산 미디어아트 진주성 사업에서도 총감독을 맡아 성공적인 행사를 이끌었다.
2025 국가유산 미디어아트 진주성은 8월 15일부터 9월 7일까지 진주성 및 진주대첩 역사공원 일원에서 열리며, 최신 ICT 기술을 활용한 미디어아트 작품들이 선보일 예정이다.
조규일 진주시장은 "권재현 총감독의 풍부한 경험을 바탕으로 진주성의 역사성을 알리고, 국내외 관광객 유치로 지역 경제 활성화에 기여해 달라"고 말했다.
