대나무 십자가 틀에
구멍 숭숭 해진 옷 걸치고
쥐 뜯어먹은 밀짚모자
푹 눌러쓴 채, 바보처럼 서 있는 허수아비
누런 색 가을 논
벼들이 영글어 갈 때
낮이나 밤이나 그 모습 그대로
그래도, 허수아비는
참새들에겐 무서운 존재
나는 허수아비만큼이라도
존재 가치가 있을까?
나, 허수아비를 볼 때마다

A scarecrow standing like an idiot, with its clothes full of holes
and its straw hat full of rats
in a bamboo cross frame
Yellow autumn rice fields
When the rice plants are growing
The same appearance day and night
Still, the scarecrow
is a scary thing to sparrows
Do I have the same value of existence
as a scarecrow?
Every time I see a scarecrow
