이후, 정책회의를 통해 산간마을 등 재난 발생 시 고립 위험이 높은 오지마을에 식료품, 구급 의약품, 비전력 생활용품 등을 비축한 ‘고립위험마을 재난대비 안심컨테이너’를 설치하는 선제적 구호 대책을 마련했다.
울진군은 앞으로 고립 고위험 마을에 안심컨테이너를 추가로 배치할 계획이다.
지난 3월 17일부터 18일 대설 당시, 경로당에 사전 대피한 한 주민은 "전기가 없으면 난방도 안 되고 식사도 어려운 상황인데, 경로당 가까운 곳에 손전등, 가스버너, 식량 등을 비축해 놓으니 언제 고립이 되어도 안전하게 생활할 수 있을 것 같았다"며, "이번 대피 때 마을 주민들이 안심하고 함께 밤을 보낼 수 있었다"고 전했다.
