한덕수 대통령 권한대행 국무총리가 1일 영남권 중심의 전국적 산불 피해 관련해 "산불 관련 대책을 완전 전면적으로 처음부터 다시 편성해야 되겠다고 생각한다"며 "추가경정예산안을 10조 정도 편성키로 했다"고 밝혔다.
한 권한대행은 이날 오전 SBS 산불 피해돕기 특별생방송에 출연해 "빨리 정치권·국회 협조를 받아 주민들이 실질적 도움을 받도록 최선을 다해 나가도록 하겠다"고 며 이같이 전했다.
그러면서 "행정안전부를 비롯 관계 부처가 총리실과 협조해 대책을 다시 한 번 전면 검토하는 작업에 바로 들어갔다"며 "전면적으로 보고 고칠 건 과감히 고치고 그렇게 해서 앞으로는 산불에 대한 피해에 더 잘 대응할 수 있도록 할 것"이라고 했다.
또 "정부는 이재민들이 일상생활을 위한 여러 집기라든지 생활용품과 봄이 되니 농사를 위한 농기계·종자 등을 집중 지원해드리면서 역시 주거 환경을 빨리 개선할 것"이라고 했다.
이어 "임시주택부터 모듈 주택이 도착해서 조립 중"이라며 "임대주택 즉 LH가 전세를 내 집이 소실된 이재민들한테 들어가 살게 하는 것 등을 종합적으로 할 것"이라고 전했다.
