(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 부천시가 19일부터 6월 9일까지 미래 글로벌 리더로 성장할 청소년들에게 국제교류 기회를 제공하기 위해 ‘제21회 부천국제청소년 홈스테이’ 참가자를 모집한다고 밝혔다.
부천시에 따르면, 이번 홈스테이는 미국, 중국, 일본 등 부천시 국외 교류도시 청소년을 부천시 청소년과 1:1로 매칭해 함께 프로그램에 참여하고 생활하는 국제문화교류 사업이다.
프로그램은 7월 24일부터 30일까지 6박 7일간 진행되며, 부천시를 포함한 4개국 5개 도시에서 총 72명이 참가할 예정이다.
이 가운데 부천시 청소년은 32명 내외가 참여한다. 참가 청소년은 국외 청소년과 다양한 활동을 함께하고, 주말에는 홈스테이를 통해 서로의 문화를 이해하는 시간을 갖는다.
참가 대상은 부천시에 거주하는 중·고등학생 또는 2008년부터 2012년 사이 출생한 동일 연령대 청소년으로, 7월 26일부터 28일까지 2박 3일간 외국 청소년에게 숙식을 제공할 수 있는 가정이어야 한다.
또, 참가자는 2026년 국외 교류도시를 방문하는 답방 프로그램에 참여 가능해야 하고, 답방 시 항공료는 본인이 부담해야 한다.
