[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시가 금산면의 정주 여건 개선과 지역 균형발전을 위한 농촌중심지활성화사업에 본격 착수했다.
시는 20일 진주시 농업기술센터 1층 회의실에서 ‘금산면 농촌중심지활성화사업 기본계획 수립’ 용역 착수보고회를 개최했다.
이번 사업은 농림축산식품부 공모를 통해 선정된 진주시 농촌협약 8개 지구 중 하나로, 지난 2024년부터 오는 2028년까지 5년간 총 172억원(국비 89억원 포함)이 투입된다.
주요 내용은 노후화된 금산면사무소를 리모델링해 행정·문화·복지 기능을 갖춘 복합생활SOC로 탈바꿈시키는 것이 핵심이다.
또 지역 공동체 활성화를 위한 ‘행복문화 프로그램’ 운영, 육아 지원을 위한 ‘찾아가는 어린이 보육 프로그램’ 등 주민 참여형 역량강화 사업도 병행 추진된다.
보고회에서는 용역 수행사가 사업 개요와 추진 전략을 설명한 뒤, 참석 주민들과 질의응답을 통해 지역 특성과 수요를 반영한 맞춤형 계획 수립을 위한 의견을 수렴했다.
조해숙 진주시 농업기술센터 소장은 “이번 농촌중심지활성화사업을 통해 금산면이 농촌지역 생활의 중심지로 기능하며, 행정·문화·복지의 중추 역할을 수행할 것으로 기대된다”고 말했다.
