브레이크뉴스 정명훈 기자= 조용술 국민의힘 중앙선대위 대변인은 26일 "오늘 이재명 더불어민주당 대선후보는 굳건한 한미동맹을 강조하면서도 일본을 중요한 협력 파트너라고 언급했다"며 "이는 도무지 앞뒤가 맞지 않는 발언"이라고 지적했다.
조 대변인은 이날 논평을 통해 "이 후보의 언행 불일치, 말과 행동이 정반대로 나타나는 모습은 어제오늘 일이 아니다"라며 이같이 밝혔다.
그는 "이 후보는 과거 미군을 '점령군'으로 규정했으며, 한미동맹의 일환인 한미일 군사훈련에 대해서는 '외교참사에 이은 국방참사'라고 강하게 비판한 바 있다"라며 "북한에 대해서는 '우리 북한'이라는 표현을 사용했고, '김정일·김일성 주석의 노력이 폄훼되지 않도록 애써야 한다'는 친북 성향의 발언도 서슴지 않았다"고 말했다.
조 대변인은 또한 "많이 조급한 것인가. 어제까지 한미동맹과 일본을 폄훼하던 분이 오늘은 갑자기 친구라고 부르니 당혹스럽고 온몸에 소름이 돋을 따름"이라며 "이재명 후보는 제발 자중해야 한다. 국민이 냉정하게 지켜보고 있다"고 강조했다.
