[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 합천군이 6월부터 공공부문 다회용기 사용 의무화를 추진한다.
군은 2일 간부회의를 시작으로 본격 시행에 들어갔다.
이번 조치는 지난해 말 제정된 합천군 1회용품 사용 줄이기 조례와 공공기관 1회용품 등 사용 줄이기 실천지침, 제289회 합천군의회 임시회 5분 자유발언 등 관련 내용을 바탕으로 수립한 ‘1회용품 사용 줄이기 추진계획’에 따라 시행했다.
추진계획에는 1회용품 구입 금지, 청사 내 플라스틱 컵 등 1회용품 반입 금지, 행사 및 회의 시 다회용기 사용, 개인 컵(텀블러) 사용 활성화 등의 실천 과제가 포함되어 있다.
김윤철 합천군수는 “1회용품 대신 다회용기를 사용하는 것이 처음에는 불편할 수 있지만, 모두가 함께 노력한다면 충분히 문화로 정착시킬 수 있다”며 “공공기관부터 솔선수범해 다회용기 사용문화가 군 전역에 퍼질 수 있도록 하겠다”고 밝혔다.
