(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 26일, 산업통상자원부가 지난 4월 공모한 ‘2025 로봇 플래그쉽 지역거점 구축사업’에 최종 선정되어 총사업비 19억원(국․시비 포함)을 확보해 인천로봇랜드에 ‘물류로봇 실증 인프라’를 조성한다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 이 인프라는 자율주행 기능을 갖춘 로봇이 건물 내 승강기를 이용해 실내 배송을 수행하고, 외부 도로를 주행하며 건물 간 실외 배송 테스트를 수행할 수 있도록 설계된다.
이번 공모사업은 테스트베드, 지원센터 등 지역거점을 구축하고, 산업현장이나 일상생활 속에서 로봇을 실증·활용할 수 있도록 지원하는 사업이다.
인천시는 인천로봇랜드 내 로봇타워 및 연구개발(R&D)센터와 외부 연결부지를 물류(배송) 로봇 특화 거점으로 조성하여 로봇기업이 자사의 제품/기술을 테스트할 수 있도록 지원할 예정이다.
본 사업 수행은 인천테크노파크 로봇센터에서 담당하며, 한국전자기술연구원과 ㈜레인보우로보틱스, ㈜빅웨이브로보틱스, ㈜로보웍스, ㈜자이드테크, ㈜로보웍스가 시스템 도입에 참여한다.
인천시는 이번 물류 로봇분야 실증을 지원함으로써 건축물을 보다 스마트하고 편리하게 탈바꿈하기 위한 기술개발 및 스마트 물류체계 구축에 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.
이남주 시 미래산업국장은 “저출산과 고령화로 인한 노동력 부족 문제와 인공지능 혁명 등으로 로봇산업의 중요성이 점차 부각되고 있다”며 “앞으로 인천로봇랜드를 중심으로 로봇산업 융합 생태계를 조성하고, 시민 삶의 질을 높이는 서비스 로봇 운영모델을 발굴해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
또한, 인천시가 26일, 고용노동부가 주관하는 ‘고용둔화 대응지원 사업’ 공모에 최종 선정돼 국비 10억 원을 확보했다고 밝혔다.
인천시에 따르면, 이번 사업은 통상환경 변화, 지역 재난, 장기 업계 불황 등으로 고용둔화가 예상되는 지역을 대상으로 고용불안 완화와 고용안정 기반 마련을 위해 추진되는 사업이다.
이에 인천시는 철강.자동차부품 산업을 중심으로 지역 제조업의 고용불안을 해소하고, 근로 여건을 개선하기 위한 실효성 높은 사업 모델을 설계해 이번 공모에 참여했다.
공모 참여에 앞서 인천시는 동국제강, 대주중공업 등 주요 기업과의 인터뷰를 통해 산업현장의 의견을 반영했으며, 지역 내 고용유지지원금 신청 기업 현황도 사전 조사해 실질적인 지원이 필요한 분야를 중심으로 사업을 기획했다.
이번에 선정된 사업은 장기재직자 근속유지 장려금 지원, 작업환경 안전 개선 지원, 근로자 복지 개선 지원, 자동차부품 제조기업 대상 고용유지지원금 추가 지원 등 총 4개 분야이다.
인천시는 이들 사업을 통해 숙련인력의 장기재직을 유도하고, 작업환경 및 복지 수준을 개선함으로써 기피 산업이라는 인식을 개선 나갈 계획이다.
이를 통해 근로자의 건강과 안전을 보장하는 한편, 이직률 감소와 근로 만족도 향상으로 이어져 궁극적으로는 산업 생태계의 안정성을 높이는 효과가 있을 것으로 기대된다.
