인천시, 집중호우와 도심침수 대응 ‘상습침수지역 관제시스템 구축’ 완료

(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시가 27일, 집중호우와 도심침수에 선제적으로 대응하기 위한 ‘상습침수지역 관제시스템 구축사업(3차)’을 완료했다고 밝혔다.

인천시에 따르면, 이번 사업은 지난 3월 27일 착수해 6월 25일까지 약 3개월간 추진됐으며, 재난대응 역량강화를 위해 침수피해가 우려되는 15개소에 사물인터넷(IoT) 기반의 침수감지센서 60개를 설치했다.

특히, ‘상습침수지역 관제시스템’은 인근 폐쇄회로 텔레비전(CCTV)과 연계되어 침수 발생시 자동으로 재난안전상황시스템에 표출되고, 단계별 침수 수위에 따라 담당자에게 실시간 문자알림 발송체계를 갖추고 있어 상황을 신속하게 인지하고 대응할 수 있는 기반이 마련됐다.

인천시는 기존 1·2차 사업과 이번 3차 사업까지 포함하여 총 45개소에 180개의 침수감지센서를 설치함으로써 이를 통해 도심 저지대, 반지하 주택가 등 침수 위험지역에 대한 상시 모니터링 체계를 갖추게 됐다.

윤백진 시 시민안전본부장은 “기후변화로 인한 국지성 호우와 집중 강우가 빈번해지는 상황에서, 상습침수지역에 대한 과학적이고 선제적인 대응체계 강화는 매우 중요하다”라며 “앞으로도 시민의 생명과 재산을 보호하기 위한 재난 대응 인프라를 지속적으로 확충해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
