공단은 지난 4일 포항종합운동장에서 ‘사랑의 헌혈’ 행사를 실시했다. 이번 헌혈운동은 저출산 고령화로 인한 헌혈 가능 인구 감소 및 중증 수혈 환자의 증가로 혈액 확보에 어려움을 겪는 상황에서 혈액 수급에 보탬이 되기 위해 진행됐다. 공단 임직원 및 유관기관과 시민 등 40여 명이 참여했다.
공단 관계자는 “헌혈에 동참하여 주신 분들에게 진심으로 감사한 마음을 전한다며 앞으로도 지속적인 사회공헌활동을 펼쳐 이웃사랑을 적극 실천하는 공단이 되겠다“고 말했다.
공단은 매년 ‘사랑의 헌혈운동’ 행사와 함께 행복기금 모금, 농촌 일손돕기 등 다양한 사회공헌 활동을 이어가며 ESG경영 실천에 앞서고 있다.
