【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 북구립도서관이 지역 작은도서관과 손잡고 독서문화 활성화에 나선다.
행복북구문화재단(이사장 배광식) 산하 북구립도서관(구수산·대현·태전·서변숲도서관)은 지난 4일, 북구 내 시립 작은도서관 10곳과 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
이번 협약은 공공도서관의 운영 경험과 자원을 작은도서관에 공유하고, 독서문화 프로그램을 함께 기획·운영해 지역 주민에게 더 풍부한 문화 서비스를 제공하기 위한 취지다.
협약에 참여한 작은도서관은 겨자씨, 꿈꾸는문화예술, 꿈이있는, 대구지식산업, 모퉁이, 북구어린이, 스타힐스, 열린, 하늘샘, 한강숲도서관 등이다.
양측은 이번 협약을 통해 ▲운영 노하우 및 인적·물적 자원 공유 ▲장서 관리 및 북큐레이션 지원 ▲독서문화 프로그램 공동 기획·홍보 등을 약속했다.
아울러 작은도서관 운영에 실질적인 도움이 되는 멘토링과 운영 지원도 함께 이뤄질 예정이다.
구수산도서관 관계자는 “작은도서관의 자생력을 키우고, 협력을 통해 지역 주민들에게 더욱 다양한 독서문화 서비스를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu Buk-gu Public Library is joining hands with local small libraries to promote reading culture.
On the 4th, Buk-gu Public Library (Gususan, Daehyeon, Taejeon, and Seobyeon Forest Libraries) under the Happy Buk-gu Cultural Foundation (Chairman Bae Gwang-sik) announced that it signed a business agreement (MOU) with 10 small municipal libraries in Buk-gu.

The small libraries that participated in the agreement are Mustard Seed, Dreaming Culture and Arts, Dreaming, Daegu Knowledge Industry, Corner, Buk-gu Children, Star Hills, Open, Sky Spring, and Hangang Forest Library.
Through this agreement, both parties promised to ▲share operational know-how and human and material resources ▲support book management and book curation ▲jointly plan and promote reading culture programs.
In addition, mentoring and operational support that will be of practical help in operating small libraries will also be provided.
An official from Gususan Library stated, “We expect to be able to foster the self-reliance of small libraries and provide more diverse reading culture services to local residents through cooperation.”
