【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청(교육감 임종식)이 학부모의 역량을 키우고 공교육에 대한 신뢰를 높이기 위한 ‘3대 핵심 교육 사업’을 본격적으로 추진한다.
학부모가 가정에서는 자녀를 바르게 이끌고, 학교와는 건전하게 협력할 수 있도록 돕기 위한 실질적인 교육이 골자다.
이번 사업은 ‘찾아가는 학부모 교실’, ‘리더 교육’, ‘행복한 아버지 학교’로 구성됐다. 교육부의 ‘역량 중심 성장형 학부모 교육’ 모델을 기반으로, 자기돌봄·부모역할·자녀교육·학교협력·자녀자립 등 5대 핵심 역량을 총망라해 학부모의 실제 역량을 높이고, 교육 동반자로의 성장을 돕는다.
먼저, '찾아가는 학부모 교실’은 도내 초·중·고·특수학교 165개교에서 12월까지 운영된다. 학부모회의 수요에 따라 15개 교육 주제 중 원하는 내용을 선택하고, 1회 90분간 대면 방식으로 진행된다. 맞벌이 학부모를 배려해 야간·주말반도 운영한다는 점이 눈에 띈다.
'리더교육'은 시군 학부모회장협의회를 중심으로 각 지역별로 1회 이상 실시된다. 필수 리더십 교육과 선택형 역량 강화 과정을 함께 운영해, 학부모회의 전문성과 자율성을 동시에 높이는 것을 목표로 한다. 이를 통해 지역 간 네트워크를 강화하고 협력적 학부모 문화를 확산시키려는 취지다.
특히 눈길을 끄는 ‘행복한 아버지 학교’는 자녀 교육에서 소외되기 쉬운 아버지들의 참여를 이끌어내기 위해 마련됐다. 오는 11월까지 경북 도내 22개 교육지원청을 돌며 총 2회기 체험형 대면 교육을 실시한다. 심리검사와 실습 교구 등을 활용한 실생활 중심 교육으로, 가정 내 소통과 가족문화 개선에 실질적인 도움을 줄 예정이다.
이 교육은 오는 16일 성주를 시작으로, 예천, 상주, 포항, 울진, 영주, 구미, 경주 등 경북 전역에서 순차적으로 진행된다.
임종식 교육감은 “이번 세 가지 교육 사업은 하나의 철학을 공유하는 통합 프로그램”이라며 “학부모가 교육의 진정한 주체로 성장하는 데 의미 있는 밑거름이 되기를 기대한다”고 말했다.

This education will be conducted sequentially throughout Gyeongbuk Province, starting in Seongju on the 16th, and then in Yecheon, Sangju, Pohang, Uljin, Yeongju, Gumi, and Gyeongju.
Superintendent Lim Jong-sik said, “These three educational projects are integrated programs that share a single philosophy,” and added, “I hope that they will serve as a meaningful foundation for parents to grow into true leaders in education.”
