(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 남동구가 22일, 전국 노인일자리사업 평가에서 3년 연속 최우수 지자체에 선정되는 쾌거를 달성했다고 밝혔다.
남동구에 따르면, 구는 전국 지자체를 대상으로 보건복지부에서 실시하는 ‘2025년(2024년 실적) 노인 일자리 및 사회활동 지원사업 평가’에서 최우수 지자체에 선정됐다.
보건복지부는 노인 일자리 활성화 및 사업 운영 독려를 위해 전년도 사업 추진 실적을 종합 분석해 매년 평가해 시상하고 있다.
지난 2023년과 2024년 ‘대상’을 수상한 남동구는 올해 ‘최우수상’선정으로 3년 연속 최우수 지자체에 이름을 올렸다.
이와 함께 노인 일자리 수행기관인 남동구노인인력개발센터와 남동시니어클럽도 각각 최우수기관으로 선정돼 총 3,000만 원의 인센티브를 확보했다.
현재 남동구는 4개 수행기관(구청, 남동구노인인력개발센터, 남동시니어클럽, (사)대한노인회남동구지회)에서 노인공익활동사업, 노인역량활용사업, 공동체사업단, 취업 지원 등 4개 유형 84개 사업을 운영하고 있다.
남동구는 2022년 6,001개였던 일자리를 3년간 1,820개 증가시켰으며, 현재 367억을 투입해 7,821명의 어르신에게 일자리를 제공하고 있다.
