대전 시민 아이디어, '치안정책'으로 구현된다

대전 시민이 직접 제안한 생활 밀착형 치안 정책이 실제 현장 도입을 앞두고 있다. 대전자치경찰위원회는 ‘2025 시민 아이디어 공모전’ 시상식을 개최하고, 실효성과 창의성을 겸비한 우수 제안 6건을 선정해 발표했다.

이번 공모전은 자치경찰제 시행 5년을 맞아 시민 참여 기반의 치안 정책을 적극 발굴하고자 마련됐다. 총 95건의 제안이 접수되며 높은 관심을 모았고, 이 가운데 실현 가능성, 창의적 접근, 지역사회 파급력 등을 종합 평가해 수상작이 결정됐다.

가장 주목받은 아이디어는 최우수상의 영예를 안은 윤민지 씨의  ‘비상시 빛으로 알리는 안심 공중화장실’이다. 해당 제안은 위급 상황 발생 시 공중화장실 내 경광등 등 시각 신호장치를 통해 외부에 긴급 상황을 빠르게 알릴 수 있도록 고안됐다. 기존의 음성 중심 경보장치나 CCTV 활용이 가진 한계를 보완해, 범죄 예방 효과를 극대화할 수 있다는 점에서 높은 평가를 받았다.
