[브레이크뉴스=강동호 기자] 지난 16일부터 20일까지 계속된 집중호우로 인해 합천군 전역에 걸쳐 주택, 비닐하우스, 도로 등 광범위한 피해가 발생한 가운데 육군 제39보병사단 119여단 4대대 장병들이 용주면 평산마을 복구지원에 나서며 지역 주민들에게 큰 힘이 되고 있다.

합천군 용주면 평산마을은 이번 호우로 인해 주택에 토사가 밀려들어 침수 피해가 발생했으며 농경지는 재배 중이던 작물이 물에 잠기거나 토사가 덮여 피해를 입는 등 일상생활 유지가 어려운 상황이었다.

이에 육군 제39보병사단 119여단 4대대는 재난대응 차원에서 신속히 지원을 결정하고, 7월 21일부터 23일까지 3일간 280명의 장병이 피해 복구작전에 투입했다.

군 장병들은 도로에 쌓인 토사를 제거하고, 물에 잠겼던 주택 주변을 정리하며, 주민들의 일상 회복을 위해 발 벗고 나섰다.
