대구 수성구, 전국 기초단체장 매니페스토 경진대회 경제·지역산업 지원 분야 최우수상 수상

【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 수성구가 지난 23일부터 24일까지 경북 안동 국립경국대학교에서 열린 ‘2025 전국 기초단체장 매니페스토 우수사례 경진대회’에서 경제 및 지역 산업 지원 분야 최우수상을 차지했다.

올해 15회를 맞은 이 대회는 (사)한국매니페스토실천본부와 경북연구원이 공동 주관하고 경상북도가 후원하는 전국 최대 정책 경연 행사다. 수성구는 ‘캐릭터 온 더 로컬’을 주제로, 지역 고유 캐릭터 ‘뚜비’를 중심으로 한 문화 콘텐츠를 활용해 지역경제 활성화에 성공한 사례를 소개했다.

수성구는 여성 공예가 육성과 취·창업 지원을 위한 ‘뚜비공작소’, 세대통합 카페 ‘할로마켓’, 예술인과 주민이 협력하는 ‘들안예술마을’ 등 다양한 지역 정책과 함께 ‘뚜비’ 캐릭터를 접목해 실질적인 일자리 창출과 경제 활성화에 기여한 점을 높이 평가받았다.

특히 전통시장이나 특산물 중심의 타 지자체 사례와 달리, 문화 콘텐츠를 지역경제 전략에 접목한 차별화된 모델로 주목받았다.

김대권 수성구청장은 “지역문화 아이콘인 ‘뚜비’를 중심으로 한 교육-생산-판매 선순환 구조가 경제 분야 우수 모델로 인정받아 뜻깊다”며 “앞으로도 ‘뚜비’를 활용한 지속 가능한 경제 활성화 정책을 꾸준히 추진하겠다”고 말했다.

Daegu Suseong-gu won the grand prize in the economic and regional industry support category at the ‘2025 National Basic Local Government Heads’ Manifesto Best Practice Competition’ held at Gyeongbuk Andong National Kyungkuk University from the 23rd to the 24th.

Suseong-gu was highly evaluated for contributing to creating actual jobs and revitalizing the economy by incorporating the ‘Ddubi’ character along with various local policies such as ‘Ddubi Workshop’ for nurturing female craftsmen and supporting employment and startups, ‘Hallow Market’, an integrated café for generations, and ‘Deul-an Art Village’ where artists and residents collaborate.

In particular, unlike other local governments that focus on traditional markets or specialty products, it has been noted as a differentiated model that has incorporated cultural content into regional economic strategies.

Kim Dae-kwon, the mayor of Suseong-gu, said, “It is meaningful that the virtuous cycle of education-production-sales centered on ‘Ddubi,’ a regional cultural icon, has been recognized as an excellent model in the economic sector,” and added, “We will continue to steadily pursue sustainable economic revitalization policies utilizing ‘Ddubi.’”
